An El Paso man was one number away from winning the Powerball jackpot, but he is still a million-dollar winner.
Jaime Jimenez Moreno claimed a second-tier Powerball prize worth $1 million from a drawing on Dec. 13.
Lottery officials say Moreno purchased the ticket at the Howdy’s on Resler Drive at Helen of Troy Drive.
His ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (2-24-28-51-58), but he didn’t get the red Powerball number (7).
Drawings are every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:12 p.m. Mountain time.
