Oxford (Ala.) High School's Antwon Fegans Jr. has attended Mississippi State camps for the past two summers. Earlier this month, the 2020 athlete prospect experienced his first game-day atmosphere at Mississippi State.

The 6-foot-3 and 195-pound Fegans watched the Bulldogs knock off Louisiana two weeks ago and was impressed with the scene at Davis Wade Stadium.

"That was my first time ever at a Mississippi State game and it was fun," said Fegans. "I went to camp there this summer and last year and I loved the atmosphere there. I like how the coaches interacted with the players and the recruits. They showed us a lot of love and I enjoyed myself."

Fegans added that the Bulldogs started expressing interest in him following his summer camp performance a couple of months ago. So far he is being recruited as an athlete and the Bulldog coaches have mentioned both sides of the ball.

"They've been recruiting me since the summer and they said I did well in camp," said Fegans. "Coach (Mark) Hudspeth said they are looking at me as a receiver and as a defensive back and that I could play either one. It's been going good with Coach Hudspeth and he is a really cool person. He played for one of my coaches' dad so he knows my coach well and he sends me a lot of texts.

"I think they have a great program and everything is run well. I like how they handled business at the game I went to and they were all business."

On the recruiting trail, Fegans is waiting patiently for his first Division 1 offer. Along with Mississippi State, he noted of other schools showing interest along with his visit plans for the rest of the season.

"I don't have any offers yet but I'm getting interest from Mississippi State, Memphis, Florida Atlantic, UAB and Ole Miss and some others," Fegans said. "I plan on going to see Tulane, UAB and Memphis this season and I may try to take a trip to Florida. And the coaches at Mississippi State said I could come back there whenever I want and I may do that, too."

Fegans is currently drawing reps for Oxford High School on both sides of the ball. And Fegans and his teammates have gotten off to another impressive start this season.

"So far we are 4-0 and then 1-0 in the region," said Fegans. "We have some tough games coming up but we're doing pretty good so far. Right now I am mainly playing cornerback but they put me at safety sometimes and I'm at receiver sometimes, too."
