Powerball rises to $282 million after Saturday night's drawing

The Powerball jackpot is now up to an estimated $282 million with no grand prize winner in Saturday night's drawing.

The cash value of the jackpot would be $161 million, according to Powerball's website.

Here were the winning numbers for the Oct. 6 drawing:

01 - 22 - 27 - 53 - 67, Powerball: 15 Power Play: 3x

There were a few smaller wins.

Three tickets sold in Florida, New York and Pennsylvania matched all five white numbers, for prizes of $1 million. The player in Pennsylvania also got the Power Play option, which increases their winnings to $2 million.

A player in Michigan matched four white balls and the Powerball for a prize of $50,000.

The Powerball is one of two big multi-state lottery games. It is held in 44 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, with drawings held at 10:59 p.m.Wednesday and Saturday nights.

Players must make purchases before 9:45 p.m. Tickets start at $2.

There also were no winners in the Mega Millions Friday night. That jackpot has risen to $470 million. The cash option would allow the winner to take home $265 million.

The next drawing for that jackpot is 11 p.m. Tuesday.
