The Powerball lottery jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is worth $242 million, with a cash option of $148.1 million. 

Wednesday's winning numbers were: 2, 8, 14, 24, 69. PowerBall: 26. Power Play: 2x.

Thirteen twice-weekly drawings have been held since the jackpot was last won in December. David Johnson, a 56-year-old supermarket worker from Brooklyn, New York, hit the $298.3 million jackpot on Dec. 26. He chose the cash option worth $180,227,550. He received $114,091,248 after taxes were deducted.

Four second-prize tickets matching five numbers but not the Powerball were bought across the country for Saturday's $224 million drawing. 

Three of the tickets - worth $1 million apiece - were sold in Florida, Illinois and Texas. A ticket worth $2 million was bought in Iowa. That winner spent an extra $1 to exercise the Power Play option. 

Three tickets purchased in New Jersey matched four numbers plus the Powerball and are valued at $50,000 each, state lottery officials said. They were sold at the following locations:

• QuickChek on Kennedy Boulevard in West New York
• Street Corner News in the Brunswick Square Mall in East Brunswick
• ShopRite on Elizabeth Avenue in the Somerset section of Franklin

The winning numbers for Saturday's drawing were:  1, 2, 3, 7 and 39. The Powerball was 25 with Power Play of 3X.
