A pair of Powerball tickets worth $50,000 were sold in New Jersey for Saturday’s lottery drawing.
Each of the third-prize tickets matched four numbers plus the Powerball.
One was purchased at the Atlantic Travel Plaza, a service area on the northbound Garden State Parkway in the Pomona section of Galloway. The other was purchased at a 7-Eleven on West Westfield Avenue in Roselle Park, according to New Jersey Lottery officials.
Saturday’s winning numbers were: 6, 8, 9, 37 and 40. The Powerball drawn was 26 with a Powerplay of 2X.

The odds of a $2 Powerball ticket containing four numbers and the Powerball are 913,130 to 1.
No one hit Saturday’s $232.7 million jackpot, pushing the top prize for the next drawing Wednesday to $250 million with a cash option of $156.3 million.
Four second-prize tickets were sold nationally. Three - tickets bought in Missouri, Tennessee and Texas - are worth $1 million apiece. A ticket purchased in South Carolina is valued at $2 million because the winner spent an extra $1 to exercise the Power Play option.
On Friday night, a third-prize $10,000 Mega Millions ticket was sold at South Orange Supermarket on South Orange Avenue in Newark It matched four numbers plus the Megaball.
Friday’s Mega Millions numbers were: 3, 16, 21, 61 and 62. The Megaball drawn was 19 with a Megaplier of 2X.
