The jackpot for Wednesday’s Mega Millions drawing has climbed to $154 million with a cash option of $109.4 million.

The winning numbers were: 34, 47, 48, 50, 55. MegaBall: 24. MegaPlier: 2x

No one hit Friday’s $139 million jackpot, though there were a pair of second-prize tickets sold nationally. Each matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball. A ticket bought in Michigan is worth $1 million, while one purchased in California is valued at $524,457.

California lottery prizes vary depending on ticket sales and number of winners. The prizes differ from the fixed second prizes offered in other participating states.

In New Jersey, a third-prize ticket matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball was sold for Friday’s drawing at Berkeley News & Convenience Store on Plainfield Avenue in Berkeley Heights. It’s worth $10,000.

Friday’s winning numbers were: 4, 11, 13, 19 and 31. The Mega Ball drawn was 10 with a Megaplier of 4X.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been won five times this year, including once in New Jersey. Michael J. Weirsky, of Warren County, won the $273 million Mega Millions jackpot from the March 1 drawing.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 each and in New Jersey must be bought by 10:45 p.m. on the evening of the drawing. The odds of a ticket hitting the jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have 1 in 12,607,306 shot to win the second prize of at least $1 million by matching five numbers.

Mega Millions is played in 44 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
