Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $60 million with a cash option of $42.5 million.

The winning numbers were: 14, 22, 30, 37 and 60. The Mega Ball drawn was 8 with a Megaplier of 3x.

While no one hit Tuesday’s $55 million jackpot, there was a second-prize ticket worth $3 million sold in Missouri. It matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball and the winner spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier option, tripling the normal $1 million prize.

In New Jersey, 25 tickets matched four numbers. Three were bought with the Megaplier option, pushing their value to $1,500. The others are worth $500 apiece.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won in the Sept. 24 drawing and was worth $225 million with a ticket sold in Cedar Park, Texas - a suburb of Austin.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been won five other times this year, including once in New Jersey. Michael J. Weirsky, of Warren County, won the $273 million Mega Millions jackpot from the March 1 drawing.

Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 5, 8, 10, 17 and 48. The Mega Ball drawn was 23 with a Megaplier of 3x.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 each and in New Jersey must be bought by 10:45 p.m. on the evening of the drawing. The odds of a ticket hitting the jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have 1 in 12,607,306 shot to win the second prize of at least $1 million by matching five numbers.

Mega Millions is played in 44 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
