$1M Powerball lottery ticket sold in South Jersey for Christmas drawing - NJ.com

A $1 million Powerball lottery ticket was sold in South Jersey for the Christmas night drawing.

The winning ticket was sold in Williamstown in Gloucester County, at Traders Variety on Black Horse Pike. It matched all five white balls, but not the Powerball, to claim the second-tier prize. The winning numbers were 02, 04, 16, 30 and 46. The red Powerball number was 20 and the Multiplier number was 02.

A number of other New Jersey players took home smaller prizes, with over 28,000 players winning between $4 and $200.

The $1 million New Jersey ticket was one of four sold nationwide. Georgia, Michigan and New York also sold tickets worth $1 million. Another 27 players won the third place prize worth $50,000, with six of those winners taking home $100,000 after paying the extra dollar for the Multiplier game add-on.

The jackpot, now worth $200 million, remains unclaimed. The next drawing will be held Saturday night, Dec. 28. The jackpot was most recently won in California on Nov. 3.

Forty-four states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands participate in Powerball. The odds of winning the jackpot are slim, about 302 million to 1. The odds are slightly better for winning the million dollar prize: about one in 11,688,053.
