The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has jumped above the $300 million mark - to an estimated $314 million.

The winning numbers are: 18, 31, 46, 54, 61. The Mega Ball drawn was 25. Megaplier of 2X.

The jackpot was last hit on Sept. 24 when a Leander, Texas resident won the $227 million top prize. The winner, who chose the cash option and remained anonymous, took home $157,091,592. Since then 21 drawings have been held without a top prize winner including Friday, when no one hit the $285 million jackpot.

There were also no second-prize $1 million tickets sold across the country for Friday’s drawing.

In New Jersey, 16 tickets matched four numbers plus the Mega Ball. Two of the third-prize tickets were sold with the Megaplier option for an extra $1, making them worth $2,500 apiece. The other 14 are valued at $500 each.

Friday’s winning numbers were: 20, 31, 40, 46 and 61. The Mega Ball drawn was 20 with a Megaplier of 5X.

The top prize has been won six times this year, including once in New Jersey. Michael J. Weirsky, of Warren County, won the $273 million Mega Millions jackpot in the March 1 drawing.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 each and in New Jersey must be bought by 10:45 p.m. on the evening of the drawing. The odds of a ticket hitting the jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 shot to win the second prize of at least $1 million by matching five numbers.

Mega Millions is played in 44 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
