CLEVELAND -- Will the elusive queen finally be found this week?
The jackpot in the Queen of Hearts game at Grayton Road Tavern has soared to an astonishing $5,121,369 WKYC confirmed as of Tuesday morning.
The prize money will continue to climb until ticket sales stop at 3 p.m. Wednesday -- just a few hours before the drawing is held at 7:30 p.m.
Last week's jackpot was more than $4.2 million.
Here's how the game works: The Queen of Hearts is hiding somewhere on a board of numbered playing cards. Each week, one player gets the chance to guess number they believe the Queen of Hearts is located behind. If she's found, that player gets the jackpot.
There are four cards left in play: 30, 45, 49 and 50.
To enter, tickets are sold for $1 at the following locations:
►Grayton Road Tavern: 4760 Grayton Road (tickets sold daily between 9 p.m. and midnight only "to help with congestion with our neighboring businesses," according to their Web site).
►Harry Buffalo in North Olmsted: 4824 Great Northern Blvd.
►Harry Buffalo in Elyria: 3619 Midway Mall.
►Harry Buffalo in Parma Heights: 6425 Pearl Road.
►Harry Buffalo in Highland Heights: 5604 Wilson Mills Road.
►J's Skills in North Ridgeville: 6287 Lear Nagle Road (no ticket sales on Wednesdays).
►Lucky J's in Lorain: 1219 Cooper Foster Park Road (no ticket sales on Wednesdays).
NOTE: All ticket sales stop at 3 p.m. the day of the drawing.
You don’t have to be there when the drawing takes place. The only requirements are that you fill out your full name, phone number and the number of the card that you want pulled.
The bar gives the winner 90 percent of the winnings, and the other 10 percent goes to starting the next round.
If nobody wins in Wednesday's drawing, the game will continue into next week with three remaining cards.
