We're one step closer to the dream of truly collaborative Augmented Reality.

Earlier this month, Google made some major announcements at its annual developer conference, Google I/O. Among them was 'Cloud Anchors,' -- augmented reality anchor points that let users create shared experiences in realtime.

One of the major pieces of news surrounding Cloud Anchors was its cross-platform functionality -- letting users generate these shared anchors regardless of whether they use Android or iOS -- a move that flies in the face of the walled-garden ecosystems we often see in the VR/AR landscape.

Now, this vision is taking shape for creators and enthusiasts alike. Today, Google released its drawing app, Just a Line, for iOS, following its release on Android earlier this year.

This allows iPhone and Android users to partner together to create collaborative sketches. Whether you want to pen a masterpiece or play a game of tic-tack-toe is entirely up to you.
