Drawing on his business experience, Stitt promises to reshape state government - NewsOK.com

While Stitt said campaigning across the state was a difficult challenge, he expects the job of governor to be fairly similar to his private sector career.

"Turning the state around takes setting vision and leading a team, and that's what I've done my whole life," Stitt said.

Sarah Stitt said her husband is well suited to run the state.

"He loves leading a team and setting aggressive goals. He is taking his normal leadership qualities to the (governor's) office," she said. "He is in his element."
