Many adults have harbored the desire to draw what they see. As part of Michael’s Arts & Crafts Supply of Biddeford Community Classroom’s offerings, ‘Beginning Drawing Class for Adults’ is open to adults by choosing one of two dates, Sept. 9, or Sept. 23, with each running from 6 to 9 p.m.
Many have heard the expression, “I can’t draw,” but with good drawing instruction based on a classical and rudimentary approach anyone can develop observational and drawing skills. Learning to draw can be a rewarding activity, if not therapeutic for some. This class is for the adult who has always wanted to draw and thus fulfill a long time desire to render images on paper and feel accomplished.
Both classes will be taught by one of Maine’s outstanding visual arts educators and artists, Ray Lund, who has taught kindergarten through the university level. Ray has created works of art in a variety of art media. His current works in colored pencil of Maine animals are offered at CIA cafe in Saco and South Portland.
To register, log onto www.michaels.com/classes-and-events/classroom and look for ‘Beginning Drawing Class for Adults Class. The registration is $20 and participants bring their own drawing materials listed on the classroom page.
