Tonight's 01/10/20 jackpotwas $80 million, with a cash-value option of $53.9 million. The total jackpot could increase depending on the number of tickets sold around the country prior to the drawing.
The winning numbers on Tuesday (01/07/20) for the $69 million jackpot were: 25-40-41-52-56 with a Mega Ball of 21. The Megaplier was 4x.
There was no grand prize winner from Tuesday's drawing, nor were there any tickets sold that matched the first five white balls for the game's second prize of $1 million.
There were 14 tickets Tuesday that matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball for the $10,000 third prize. Four of those purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1 for third-prize winnings of $40,000.
The last Mega Millions grand prize winner was Tuesday 12/17/19 for $372 million with a ticket sold in Ohio. The game reset to the $40 minimum for the 12/20/19 drawing, and there has been no grand prize winner in nearly three weeks now.
Prior to that, a $227 million ticket was sold on 09/24/19 in the city of Cedar Park, Texas—a suburb north of Austin. The winner from nearby Leander came forward to claim that prize, but they wished to remain anonymous.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery every Tuesday and Friday night, and it is one of America's two biggest lottery jackpot games. Mega Millions jackpots start at $40 million, and other prizes pay from $1 million to $2 million or more with a Megaplier.
