KOCHVILLE TWP. (WJRT) - (04/09/18) - It's going to be a little crowded on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University this week.
The school will welcome 160 high school robotics teams from across the state for the FIRST in Michigan state championships this week.
The event is expected to draw about 5,000 high school students and 8,000 total visitors to campus each day of the competition.
This marks the second year SVSU has hosted the competition.
Some estimates show the economic impact of the competition on the region is at least $1 million.
