MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — 

The Mobile County Public School System is holding the first drawing for magnet schools on Dec. 10. That means people should apply by Dec. 9 if they want to be considered for that first drawing.

We are hosting an Open House this Saturday at Murphy High. Please see the attached flier for information on that.

MCPSS magnet schools are:

Elementary:

• Council Traditional School
• Eichold-Mertz School of Math and Science
• Old Shell Road School of Performing Arts

Middle Schools:

• Clark-Shaw School of Math, Science and Technology
• Denton Magnet School of Technology
• Dunbar School of Performing Arts
• Phillips Preparatory
